Trees on the Square
A collaborative project bringing together civic groups, businesses, and individuals partnering with the City, Trees on the Square allows people to sponsor a potted tree to soften the downtown buildings. The Kalmia Garden Study Club brought the idea to the City, and the Beautification Board took up it up quickly.
All three phases of this project are complete. Thank you to everyone who donated toward this project. The project encircles the Public Square itself. Phase II placed pots along Cashua Street and Main Street while Phase III completed the look as pots are placed along Pearl Street in the downtown historic district.
To nominate a home or business for a Pride of Darlington Award, email [email protected] or call 843-398-4000 x 103 with the name and address of the nominee.
